2-year, 3.05%/3-year, 3.30% CDs at Heritage Bank of Florida
Heritage Bank of Florida has two very competitive CDs available: a 2-year CD yielding 3.05% APY, and a 3-year CD yielding 3.30% APY. These CDs all have a minimum deposit of $1000. Heritage Bank’s money market also has a nice rates: 2.00% APY above $15,000; 2.50% APY above $40,000; and 3.00% APY above $100,000.
Heritage Bank of Florida has three locations, one each in Tampa, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel.
Long-term CDs up to 3.85% at Intervest National Bank
Intervest National Bank has a number of long-term CDs available with competitive rates. Their 4-year CD is yielding 3.55% APY, their 5-year through 9-year CDs are yielding between 3.66% and 3.69% APY, and their 10-year CD is yielding 3.75% APY. The APY on the 10-year CD goes up to 3.85% for deposits over $100,000. The minimum deposit required for these CDs is $2500. The CDs are also all available as IRA CDs with a reduced $1000 minimum deposit. If you’re looking for shorter-term CDs, Intervest also has 18- to 36-month CDs available at between 2.75% and 3.15% APY.
Intervest National Bank has six locations in Florida: Four in Clearwater, and one each in Clearwater Beach and South Pasadena.
Short-/mid-term CDs up to 2.75% at Riverside National Bank
Riverside National Bank has a few competitive short-term and mid-term CDs available:
- 8-month CD: 2.25% APY
- 12-month CD: 2.50% APY
- 24-month CD: 2.75% APY
These CDs have a minimum deposit of $5000. Riverside National Bank doesn’t seem to list rates on their webpage, but you can see an add for the rates here.

3%/7-month CD, 3.25%/13-month CD at Atlantic Southern Bank
Atlantic Southern Bank has two very nice short-term CDs available: a 7-month CD that’s yielding 3.00% APY, and a 13-month CD that’s yielding 3.25% APY. The minimum deposit on both CDs is $500, and both CDs are available as IRA CDs.
Atlantic Southern Bank has 16 locations, one of which is in Florida: 13474 Atlantic Blvd, Suite 109 in Jacksonville.

3.75% 17-month CD and 3.50% money market at Colonial Bank
Colonial Bank is offering a 17-month CD with a decent yield: 3.75% APY. The CD has a minimum deposit of $500. Colonial Bank also has a nice money market for those who have at least $25,000 to deposit: Their Secure Access Money Market is returning 3.50% APY for deposits over that amount. If you go below $25,000, however, the APY drops to 1.00%. Neither of these rates seem to be listed on their website, but you can see an ad for them here.

Short-term CDs up to 3.90% at Peoples First Community Bank
Peoples First Community Bank is offering a couple pretty high short-term CDs: Their 8-month CD is yielding 3.75% APY, and their 13-month CD is yielding 3.90% APY. These CDs have a $2500 minimum deposit, and they require you to have or open a Peoples First checking account. The webpage also specifically notes: “Please specify that you saw these rates on the [I]nternet or existing published rates will apply.” Peoples First is also offering a 2-year “Investor CD” at 3.25% APY that offers the following perks: The CD can be added to at any time, as long as it’s in increments of $500, and the rate of the CD can be bumped up once during the term.
Peoples First Community Bank has over 30 branches, including locations in Altamonte Springs (2), Apopka, Casselberry, Clermont, Destin, Gulf Breeze, Jacksonville (3), Kissimmee, Lynn Haven, Marianna, Niceville, Orange City, Pace, Palm Coast, Panama City (6), Panama City Beach (2), Pensacola (3), Ponte Vedra Beach, Shalimar, and Tallahassee.
CD rates up to 4.50% at Omni National Bank
Omni National Bank has a number of very nice CD rates right now:
- 10-month CD: 4.15% APY
- 15-month CD: 4.30% APY
- 27-month CD: 4.50% APY
These CDs all have a minimum deposit of $5000, and the rates are only valid for new deposit customers in Florida.
Omni National Bank has six branches, with one in Florida: 302 North Dale Mabry in Tampa.
CDs up to 4.85% at Florida Community Bank
Florida Community Bank has two quite high CDs available: Their 10-month CD is yielding 4.65% APY, and their 17-month CD is yielding 4.85% APY. I wasn’t able to find this deal on their website or find an ad for the rate, but I did call up one of the branches, and the CSR confirmed that the rate will be available through tomorrow (November 7th). She also said that the CDs have a minimum of $1000.
Florida Community Bank has 11 branches: two each in Cape Coral, Ft. Myers, and Naples, and one each in Immokalee, Labelle, Lehigh Acres, Port Charlotte, and Punta Gorda.

CDs up to 5.15% at Fifth Third Bank
Fifth Third Bank has a number of CDs with high yields for their terms:
- 9-month CD: 4.00% APY
- 13-month CD: 4.35% APY
- 24-month CD: 4.75% APY
- 37-month CD: 5.05% APY
- 4-year CD: 5.10% APY
- 5-year CD: 5.15% APY
All these CDs have minimum deposits of $5000. There is also this note at the bottom of their rate sheet: “Certain affiliates may require additional products or services to obtain the promotional rate.” If you’re interested in this CD, you may wish to call your local Fifth Third branch and see what, if anything, you need to do to receive these rates.
Fifth Third Bank has numerous branches throughout Florida.
CDs up to 4.50% at Colonial Bank
Colonial Bank has a number of high short-term and mid-term CDs available:
- 12-month CD: 4.25% APY
- 18-month CD: 4.35% APY
- 24-month CD: 4.50% APY
The minimum deposit for these CDs is $500, and the maximum deposit per customer is $500,000. Colonial Bank does not seem to list their CD rates on their website, but you can find an ad for them here.
