National City Bank has some really great CD rates available right now: Their 3-year and 4-year CDs are currently returning 5.25% APY.  There’s a few hoops that need to be jumped through to get this deal, however: First, it requires either having a National City personal checking or savings account or opening a new NatCity checking account (not Free Checking) or a Money Market Savings account.  Without that account, the rate drops by .25%.  Second, it requires a minimum deposit of $10,000.  If you go down to a minimum of $2500, the rate drops by .20%.  On the plus side, the CDs area also available for IRA and Rollover IRA CDs, and the rate is currently expected to last through September 13th.
